This sentiment from the owner ironically calls back to 1937 when Mr. and Mrs. N.A. Pallow commissioned Louis B. Selden,AIA to design their first California home. 90 years later found hidden in a wall was a letter written by the Pallows to a future owner. It describes life in 1940's Los Angeles and begins with "Life is compared to a relay race'… you pick it up - where we left off." The letter is framed for display. Come by to read and enjoy each room's charming details (cornices, moldings, brass door handles, stained glass windows/skylights, tile inlay in the original wood floors and steel casement windows), the private courtyard and romantic gardens complete with tile fountain.
